Recieving Faxes

You are issued with a 086 number which is then linked to an email address of your choice. Your clients then send their faxes to your 086 number, and you receive their fax in your email in-box.

Sending An Email To A Fax Machine

Should you wish to send an email to a fax machine, enter "2711(fax number) @vax.co.za, (see example below) either type your message in the Body field of you email or attach a document as you would with any other email, and send.

What Does It Cost ?
	Activation and Receiving Faxes only R30.00 per month (payable in advance) for your own fax number. Additional fax numbers only R15+vat. New accounts can receive faxes without any extra charges. A small Talkom charge is levied per fax to anyone sending faxes to you.
	Sending Faxes - Prepaid Quota: R100+vat enables you to send up to approx 100 faxes from your email address. This is only R1 per fax.  See below for full details on pricing for sending of faxes. You can become activated for receiving faxes only, should you wish, however if you have a need to send faxes, you can save on paper, monthly Telkom line rental and printer cartridge ink by activating your account to send directly from your PC. FULL DETAILS : COST FOR SENDING FAXES FROM YOUR PC EMAIL PROGRAM: Please note that in South Africa the cost of a fax is based on how far the RECIPIENT is from one of the fax network pops. That means that a person in Durban can fax a company in Gauteng and only pay 80c per minute if the recipient is within 50kms of Johannesburg. The same applies countrywide.
